Peoria City Hall is a wonderfully preserved architectural gem from 1899 that beautifies downtown Peoria. Visitors can access its four floors via an ornate iron-adorned marble staircase or two elevators.

In the center of the lobby is "Love Knows No Caste" by famed Peorian sculptor Fritz Triebel. Looking up from the center, one finds the beautiful stained glass which caps the fourth floor.

There is a small lot to the side, but visitors will likely have to use strange, metered "back-in" street parking.

The walls are full of artwork and lithographs of the Peoria of yesteryear. The council chambers are large and elegant, featuring original roll-top desks for council members and the mayor's large desk. Behind the mayor is a mural featuring three "muses": Education, Justice, and Medicine.
