The judge needs to act as a neutral actor, and make sure that defendants are informed of their rights and of court procedures. Prosecutors need to introduce themselves to defendants as prosecutors, and not misrepresent their authority as a type of spokesman or representative of the court.

Horrible. You can't call and get the zoning for a parcel. How is that private information that someone has to drive downtown, and pay for the information. Tazewell is very helpful, as well as Woodford. Only answer is Peoria County Zoning Dept. is a very lazy office and don't want to work for their paycheck. What is so hard for them to tell you a zoning classification over the phone????

Amazing people great judge I love the service and security the people are so nice

I had to call the owner and have him take the time out of his busy day to call and get the information. How ignorant is this system? City of Peoria is accommodating, and never a problem, willing to help, Peoria County is from another planet, or maybe it is the officials in that office. Think about that Peoria County residents. Do you want lazy people getting paychecks from your hard work.

The prosecutors here in traffic court really try to take advantage of the unfamiliarity that most offending motorists have with their rights and with court procedures. The prosecutors act, and present themselves to outsiders, as if they were deputies of the judge - milling around him, making small talk, joking, and following his instruction. When they meet individually with a defendant, instead of introducing themselves as prosecutors, they lay out the defendant's options as if they were speaking with the neutral authority of the court. They offer two options to the defendant: attending a class to lessen the penalty, or foregoing the class and paying a stiffer penalty. Most of the drivers I saw simply accepted these choices offered by the prosector as if they were the only real alternatives . The prosecutors purposely fail to mention the most important option available to the defendant: pleading innocent and going to trial.
