Everyone has always been friendly and courteous* It is wonderful to have a compounding pharmacy that actually takes the time to "make" the actual prescription in their lab according to your needs.
It seems there is always an excuse. They are short-staffed or training an individual. When you need to be taking your med's daily... going without is not an option. Finding another pharmacy. Tired of dealing with this :/
Listen to the bad reviews, do not go here! My doctor's office called in my prescription (compounding) in the morning. This was not a life or death prescription, but I didn't want to make an extra trip to pick it up and I was in the area. I called that same morning to see when it would be filled, find out about insurance coverage, etc. The woman was nice, told me it was back in the lab to be made just then and told me insurance probably wouldn't cover it but they could try running it when I came in to pick it up. She told me I would be called when it was ready. 24 hours goes by, no phone call. When I called in to find out when I could pick it up, I was brushed off, told they'd call me when it was ready. I said please give me an estimate of when you think that will be. The woman got huffy with me, put me on hold, came back and told me when (probably the next week sometime). She then informed me that they always tell patients it will be at least 48 hours. I told her no one told me that and just to cancel it. I was angry because all I wanted to know was when it would be available, don't jerk me around. Be up front and straight with patients, be professional. I will never go to this place again. UPDATE: fyi, I called my doctor back to request they send my prescription to Alwan Pharmacy after Preckshot refused to tell me when they would finally decide to fill my order. About 2 hours after that, I received a call from Alwan that my order was ready for pickup. That's how it should be!
With that being said...don't expect your refills to be done immediately.
I have never had a bad experience here. Great people, friendly and helpful as can be.
The facility is very nice when you walk in and I have always talked with friendly staff in person and on the phone. However, it is quite unnerving to call in a refill to the "automated" system only to be leaving a voicemail on their answering machine. There is no conformation they even got your message. Especially when it takes "48 hours" to get your refills. It seems it would be much more efficient to just type in the prescription number like you do with other pharmacies. This last time around, I called in a prescription on a Saturday (to be fair, it was after they closed that day). I waited like before...no confirmation....got a little nervous by Tuesday when I still received no call. I then called Wednesday and was told they are short staffed and the lab tech was working on Monday's orders today. I said okay, I called mine in on Saturday. One would think that an order called in over the weekend would be the first in the queue for Monday's work. Well, it's now Friday and I still have nothing. My dog has been without his medication for over 2 days now despite the fact that I called in the order with plenty of lead time. I am very disappointed in this place and will likely change my future orders to another compounding pharmacy.
In fact they make excuses for it not being ready a WEEK later. I would expect a compounding pharmacy to take a few days..but when you do not get your re-fills in over a weeks time.??..that is a bit ridiculous*
They take way too long to make a prescription. I will go elsewhere next time. Get more employees and teach customer service. These people act like they are doing you a favor to do their job.
