This place was a joke for a concert. MASSIVE lines and broken kegs. Will never see another concert here.
The Peoria Civic Center is a nice convention center. However it has a very odd layout for walking location to location. There is no free parking, a range from $5-$7 all day or $1 per hour parking garage. There is no outside food or drink allowed inside, and they will confiscate items if found. Concession stand sells drinks and food for normal arena prices. The arena is nice in layout, but lower levels have unsupported folding seats. The seats rock back and forth like a teeter totter, and mainly tilt forward (down hill). Although there are things that the convention center could work on, it is still a very nice facility for a convention. Clean bathrooms, regulated heating and air, large space for exhibitors.
Great event center for a smaller city. They bring in the big names and it is the home of The Riverman. Hosts the second largest indoor farm show is the U.S. With the expansions over the years, they definitely need more parking but there is usually sufficient parking within 2-3 blocks of the building.
I am objecting to the "Midget" wrestling program coming up. Not only is it extremely offensive, it is dangerous to the participants. I will boycott the Civic Center unless this is cancelled. Appalling.
The working crew was very friendly. The docks for drivers are typical with most centers. A little tight but workable.
