I found this store is difficult to navigate. I was helped by two different clerks. One, a young man, was clueless. The other was very helpful. They do have some products other big box stores don't have, but fall short in other areas of product. Lastly, the 11% discount comes in the form of a store credit.
This Menards wanted to charge us a 45% restocking fee to return two rugs because we weren't returning them to the same location we purchased from. Are you kidding me??? Used to like those stores. No more! (Plus...the reason I was returning is that one of the rugs was mis-labeled, so it wasn't even the style I wanted! That's why I was returning them to begin with!) On top of that, they were rude. Such a shame.
This is the best place to buy most to all of your needs for all you do it yourselfer out there. And every so often they offer rebates on items and whole store 11 percent rebate. On our visit was the 11 percent rebate. The Peoria store has more in stock and is a nicer store.
Responded to a "Crazy Days 2 Day Sale". Awesome prices on much needed items. Ex: Pittsburgh Ultra Exterior paint 1 gallon for $11. Kitchen cotton towel set free after rebate. Name brand alkaline batteries $.99 after rebate for package of 16. Great store with sales staff in each department, plenty on check out lanes open. Store is clean and well stocked.
