It has been awhile since I have been there but today I left a message on their site asking if they still had their lunch buffet. Within about an hour I received a call and the person stated yes lunch buffet is Thurs, Fri and Sat. from 11:00 to 2:00. So we went. It was delicious. I especially love their homemade salad dressing and corn fritters. The baked chicken was extremely tender. This restaurant is a hidden gem in our area. Very reasonably priced I might add.
Very good family style meal for 12 of us. Fried Chicken and Ham. The fritters were delicious.
The food was great. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is strictly related to the hostess/cashier. She didn't portray an ounce of friendliness upon seating us and close to downright rude cashing us out.
The hostess seemed mad we were there, not welcoming at all. The decor is awful with water and paint stains in multiple places. Carpet was disgusting and it smelled bad inside the building. There is no main dining area, just a bunch of rooms that are separated from each other. The food was awful, burnt dry hamburger which took half an hour to get with soggy fries. The corn fritters are Not corn fritters since there's no corn in them. The service was mediocre and it took forever to get the check. It had a very uncomfortable feeling as if we were intruding on someone's family dinner and not wanted there. The hostess also was very rude about the fact we paid with a gift certificate. This is probably one the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We couldn't wait to leave and will not be going back
Best fried chicken in town. Corn fritters are the best ones! While their service is just average, we went there mostly just for the good food.
